Bullying

Everywhere you go you hear about bullying. Bullying has become a major topic all around the country and it has become the leading cause in teen suicide. At every school there is bullying whether you hear about it or not. My school has a no bullying policy, but it still happens. Many schools in every state are starting to develop no bullying policies because of how big of an issue it has become.
Back in 4th grade, I was verbally and physically bullied for the first 3 months of school by kids on the bus and by kids in my class. My parents went to the teacher and even the principal to see if they would stop it, but they didn't. I was one of the lucky ones though. Thanksgiving week my parents took me out of public school and started home schooling me. That was the best thing they ever did. They were the smart parents and realized that I was being bullied and so they decided to protect be by home schooling me. But not every kid is this lucky. Back in October of 2012, a girl from Canada, Amanda Todd, was bullied everywhere she went and her parents didn't do anything to help her. She made a few mistakes and she was judged for what was left of her 15 years of life. Everywhere she went she was beaten up and made fun of and nobody even stood up for her. All she needed was one friend and nobody had the heart to be her friend even though she was being hurt by so many people.
Bullying needs to end because if it doesn't there will be more and more teen suicides because of cyberbullying and even offline bullying. The physical and psychological problems that result from being bullied can cause an inability to get things done when they remember what happened. Bullying is as traumatizing as child abuse. We need to end it now before it's too late. Stand up for those who you see being bullied because you would want someone to do the same for you.
